United Kingdom

Arrived yesterday morning a bit jet lagged.  We are staying in a famous area,  this is the area where Jack the Ripper was famous , Whitechapel.  We will do the Ripper walk tomorrow, though we were at a pub tonight, the oldest in Britian which was around during his time....  Last night met up with the Wilkinsons and the Hildebrands who both worked at Nexen and are now ex-pats living here.  Today walked the river Thames and saw "Alls well that ends well" at the restored Globe theater.  It was fabulous!  Also went through a restored version of Francis's Drake ship that was the first to circumnavigate the globe.  Walked by London bridge and the Tower of London too.  Tomorrow off to the Chelsea flower show if we can get in, the Museum of Natural History (for those geology geeks this is where the map that changed the world is located as well as William Smiths fossil collection).  We will head to a show tomorrow night, not sure which one whatever tickets are available.  Hope to have a picture or two to post once the computer is charged and I am not doing this on a public machine!  HA!
Cheers
Andrea
