Ok I have checked a couple of things off the bucket list. Saw Red Square, Lenin's tomb (apparently called "dead guy in a new suit" as they change his suit each month) and was actually inside the Kremlin. Toured the Volga river and went through 17 locks. Saw St Petersburgh, Peterhof and the Hermitage museum. Did two different vodka tastings. Saw Swan Lake in St Petersburgh as well as a Cossack dance show. Got up on stage as the new lead tamborine player at one folk music concert as well as danced with the Cossacks. I am a star in Russia just waiting by the phone for my next audition. (HA!). Saw the church with 22 cupolas (domes on top) that was built with no nails (bet they could not do that now and this was done 300 years ago!). Took Russian lessons. I can now sing in Russian. Considering I cannot carry a tune is somewhat frightening! Very neat trip though most of the other passengers on the boat were seniors so the walking was kept to a minimum. Back to Paris for a night where we met up with friends from Calgary, the Vellutini's who just happpened to be there. Now off to southern France to see the Burrages who have just moved there from Calgary.
